Florence to Siena on a bus

Today we said goodbye to Florence and moved on to Siena. We had an early bus to catch so we hopped on the tram to get to the bus station. We had an hour ride and it was great! The bus station was sooo confusing. There wasn’t any information about where to catch the city bus. We kinda walked around for a bit and found ourselves in a station/mall! Siena is built on hills and so we had to take 3 escalators and 3 moving sidewalks all travelling up hill. The sweetest lady on the bus overheard is butchering the name of our stop and told us it was her stop too and we were thankful to know when to get off!

Brian found us the cutest rental right in the middle of Siena. Fabiola met us outside and let us come up for an early tour of the place and let us store our bags while she cleaned it. The bonus for this place is that it is 90 steps from the street to our place!

After we checked in, we went and got some lunch and headed out to explore the town. We visited the Museo civica and saw some really old art and fresco. Here are a million pictures painted on the ceilings. We didn’t walk quite as much as in Florence, but we enjoyed our day together.

Nighttime meant the search for dinner! We headed to a place that had several Michelin Stars but of course we had no reservations. We found a place and had some pasta followed by gelato.

I am having a good time finding great things to photograph. I’ll end the day with some photos and no more words. I am so exhausted that I keep dropping my phone. Peace out. More adventures await.
