Japan to China to Thailand

Today was a really long travel day.  We were up at 4, in a cab by 4:45 and on a train by 5:30.  We took the JR line to Kansai airport and we are so lucky we left early because the earthquake hit right when were transferring from train to airport. The JR lines were shut down after that. Phew.

Our travel day was very long, but mostly uneventful. We had an hour delay in China while we were on the plane. Mack ate many of her airplane snacks and used up a lot of patience sitting there. I got a few jabs from her on that flight. Overall, the girls are really good travelers.

Immigration was really quick at the airport, taxi was smooth, and after an hour drive we were at our swanky hotel. Brian did good picking this one. It’s right on the river and is pretty nice. It is really humid here and we have a pool. Those four letters are music to the girls ears. I'm sure that once the heat of the day hits, Brian and I will be happy to be in the pool too.

Today, a boat ride up the river to a temple, a lot of swimming, and a night time market. Looking forward to exploring. Only two days here so we have to pick the things we want to see.  Didn't want to stay in the big city too long...I'm having technical difficulties with photos today.  You'll get photos next time.
