The place we are in is pretty neat, but really could use some maintenance. The photos online that we saw when we booked it made it seem like it was a little nicer than it is. Don't get me wrong, it's really pretty neat. It's our anniversary this week and I was thinking it would be a little more of a splurge place, but it's all part of the adventure. The girls each have their own bed which is a huge gift to their parents. Oh, the fighting over the bed is killing us at this point.

Our giant millipede friend outside our front door. I'm guess about 5 inches long. |
After we settled in, tried out the leaf-filled infinity pool, and gathered our things, we headed down 149 steps to find the beach. It was so nice to finally see the ocean again. Putting our feet in the sand was a treat today. The water is in the high 80s here and feels really good. The beach is covered with trash which was really awful to see. When the girls were in the water, we were dodging floating straws and other objects. There were some little waves out there, so Brian and Fi are renting boards for the next few days and will be out there having fun. Mack and I will be boogie boarding and avoiding unidentified floating objects. We are trying to decide if we actually want to venture out and sight-see or if we just want to be at the beach.
The sunset tonight was incredibly beautiful and since we haven't seen it for a while, I took many pictures of the girls playing as it set. Today was a good day.

They were actually standing like this. I swear I didn't make them do the prom pose. I just asked them to move over a bit... |
