Boston College

Today started early. Fiona had a 10:00 visit scheduled with Boston College. This meant an early breakfast and some extra coaxing to get one of our group out of bed. One of us wasn’t as excited about another college tour. Little did she know that when dad went down to Dunkin to get bagels, mom had him get some donut holes to hide in mom’s backpack for later when she needed to pull out some magic.

Our ride on The T was a bit longer today but went smoothly. We got to Boston College and Mack and I found our bench. I was under the impression that Brian and Fi would be an hour. It ended up being 2 hours. We watched TikToks as long as we could, she happily ate a few donut holes, played on her switch, and then she had had it with waiting. Luckily her horns were surfacing just as her sister was finishing up.

Back on the T to get some lunch. We went to Copley Square and headed to Eataly. Fiona had was she said was the best pasta she has ever had. Nice to love your meal that much isn’t it? The food was good. The market was adorable. Made me miss living near a big city.

Mack was stoked today to be invited to sleep over with my friend Charity’s son,Max. Mack and Max have grown up together in parallel worlds. Their paths have only crossed twice but you would never know it. His mom and I became friends online with a huge group of other ladies going through IVF shortly after Fiona was born. We have all been close friends ever since and we live for our IRL meetups whenever we can. Charity and I have been good friends for about 14/15 years and have only seen each other in person 3 times. Crazy right?

While Mack was off playing, we roamed the area with Fi and did some shopping. Grabbed a little dinner and have just been hanging out at the hotel. It was a pretty good day. Visiting schools has been busy. Tomorrow we are driving over to Northeastern and then hanging with Charity and Max. Tonight Brian gets a break from Mack beating him up while they sleep. She is too much of a bed bully to share with Fiona. Ha.
