There are three very tired people in this hotel room with me tonight. We had a great, long day.
We started our day in Boston Public Market. What a find. Found some healthy breakfast, good coffee, and a great tea.
Wandered around the marina for a bit this morning while we waited for Charity to bring Max and Mack back to pick us up. It was a beautiful, warm morning. Our plan for the day was to check out Northeastern, get Fiona fitted for pointe shoes, and then off to mini golf and go-karts! I got the cutest text from Mack on their way to pick us up.
We made our way to Wellesley where Fiona had an appointment at a dance store. The lady in the shop was very sweet and got Fiona fitted in a couple really nice pairs of shoes. I’m glad we were able to do that. It’s hard getting shoes on Kauai. They are always on back order…
Max and Mack were very patient. It was time for their part of the day next! They had an hour on the trampoline park and then three go-kart races.
Fi didn’t want to race. She wanted to hang with the beautiful baby who is being cared for by Charity. What a beauty. Fi 100% enjoyed this baby cuddle over racing. Much cheaper too!
After the chaos of this kid date, we grabbed some dinner and they dropped us back at the hotel. It’s always hard to say goodbye. I hate how sometimes we cross paths with people whom we immediately know and love, but we cannot be with them all the time. I loved our time with them today. Grateful to know Charity. I wish you could too. She is one of those people who makes you a better person just because you know them.
In typical Godsill adventure fashion, Brian and I left the girls in the hotel and ran out to grab a wee dessert and a cuppa. He wanted to go to Modern Pastry so he could do a taste comparison between Mikes and Modern on the cannoli. The line looked like this…
I opted for a chocolate dipped strawberry. After conducting the taste test, Brian wasn’t really able to taste a difference between them. Now it’s snore time. Not for me. I’m the night owl who likes to write about our day while everyone else sleeps. I enjoy sharing our travels, but mostly I enjoy going back and rereading them.
Tomorrow we visit family and get ready to return home. Love to travel and I love to go back home.
