We come from the land of beautiful sunsets. Today we woke up in the East and were able to enjoy a beautiful sunrise on the coast. Neither girl was interested in getting out of bed...
We rented a car today so we could get around the island easier than last time when we took the bus. Brian said that he paid for something called a "surprise rental". We didn't know what we were getting and the girls and I were a bit excited to see what we would get. We were talking cars like convertible Coopers, Jeeps, and I think Mercedes was even suggested. It was a bit anticlimactic when they handed Brian the keys to a RAV4. At least we had wheels. At the current moment we have a rental car parked outside and a rental car parked in the ferry parking lot on the other side. Funny.
Our first stop on our tour today was to the Island Alpaca Farm. This was our second time there. Last time it was pouring rain, so all the alpacas were inside. Today was great because they were all outside enjoying the sunshine and being super social. There was a baby named Kassy last visit. Today we got to see her as a grown up. There were two adorable babies today who have yet to be named. Alpacas are extremely soft. It feels good to just bury your fingers into their swirly curly hair.
We headed to Aquinnah Cliffs after to go to the beach. It was the first time the girls had ever touched the Atlantic Ocean. It may have been the first for Brian and I as well. Brrr. The weather was amazing but the water reminded us that we weren't in Hawaii.
